Picked one up for 125.00 new about a month ago for a friend.

Mounted easily and positively to a SIG 229R in .40 S&W. The controls are basic and ambidextrous (he's a leftie). The switch seems solid and there is no "wiggle" on the mount.

Light throw is enough for CQB and battery replacement is simple as well.

We'll be ringing it out next week at a night shoot class and will update any issues should they arise.

Thanks for the info...

Keep us updated...as far as light throw, does it come to a X200A Surefire?

Thanks

I have a X200-B and the throw is definitely different.

I would put it like this; the throw from the SF is more "defined" as opposed to the SSL. The SSL gives a broader throw but certainly bright enough for what it's intended for. You may get a little more range out of the SF, but in the broad scheme, it's negligible and I'd buy the SSL for a C-note less.

Aside from that, I'm also getting fed up with SF's arrogant consumer reselling policies.

They're good, but not that good to justify attitude. See H&K for comparisons.
