I read about these in the latest copy of "On Target" and thought they looked interesting.  Sort of like irons with the same fiber optic advantages offered by an ACOG...

I was wondering if anyone here has them and what you think of them.

What Is Tritium Fiber Optic (TFO) Technology?

TFO gun sights use the same proven technology as our TFO archery pins. These sights are the most revolutionary innovation since TRUGLO, Inc. introduced fiber optics. TFO refers to our patented combination of Tritium and Fiber Optic technologies. The Tritium maintains the brightness level of the sight in low light (or NO light) conditions. That means you can see your sight even in complete darkness—with perfect transition through all light conditions. Tritium does not need batteries and does not need to be charged with light—it simply glows!

I'm mentally configuring how I want my future XD45 to be...these just made the list!

Those sights are too good to be true!

just be forwarned, from what i have read, and from my own experience, most people/gunsmiths dont have the proper tools to remove/install sights correctly on a XD. For instance, the smith i used broke the tritium in the rear sight, he got a replacement for me , but it took him 4 months start to finish, before i got my XD back.

Notice the marks on the sights?

Got the  TG131ST1 Sig #8 front / #8 rear.
Not too bad, they don't look as "cool" as low-profile Novak sights or something but they have a nice glow to them.

The power went out about 3 weeks ago, and it was DARK in the house.  The tritium was very bright.

My local gunsmith had a hell of a time getting the rear sight, that came with my XD-45 out...but he was able to get the new TFO's in with very little effort. I stood there and watched him do it and all in all took about 15 minutes tops. He could not press out the factory sights so he took a punch and drove them out. the new TFO's just had to be tapped in after that.

They are by far the best day and night sights I have on any of my autos.

I have wanted to get a set of these sights since they came out around 2 years ago but I just never did.  I ended up buying Hi Viz fiber optic front site and I am extremely happy with it.  I just wish it had the tritium like the TFO sights.  So I finally broke down and I am buying a set from another member here.  I only really want thr front site so I will probably be selling the rear.  I think the rear takes away from the speed you can get from a plain rear notch and a bright front sight.  I just seem to be a lot faster on target especially multiple targets with the TFO front only.  I just wanted to know is the front sight a little bit bigger than say a standard Glock front white dot?

I think I'm sold, thanks.

I also have the TFOs on my XD.

I really like them because they are bright in BOTH day and night.

This pic was taken outdoors in natural light. You can see how bright the front sight is in natural light, it just really stands out, like its glowing.

I've got some being put on by Canyon Creek at the same time they're doing the trigger mod on my XD45.  Had a chance to check them out in action at a class recently and was sold.
