Get the Dawson rail and necessary adapter, or get the Surefire MR07 rail pictured above.  The rest are not serious options.

It would be nice to actually see some pics of it.  The two pics they have on their website show the gun with the light attached and covering their rail.  But it sounds an awful lot like Dawson's rail.

GunGuy1911,  You mention other holsters.  Seems like everytime I found someone who said that the Dawson rail would fit in leather carry holster, I found someone else who said the opposite.


I guess you could say that my Dawson rail gun did "fit" in my Sparks VMII when I got it.  It took both hands and some serious force to get it in and out.  I forced it a few times. Then I lightly wet the area of the VMII where the rail would sit.  I wrapped my Kimber in Ziploc and shoved it in.  Two hours later, things were alot different.  About 25 draw-strokes and it was a prefect fit.  Smooth, but snug..as it should be.

That said, I think the easiest thing to do regarding holsters is to simply have the holster maker mold the rig to the gun/rail combo. In many cases this will mean that the user will indeed have to purchase a new holster but it has been my experience that with quality holsters stretching often isn’t an option. I know that with my most favored rigs the stitching and molding follow the gun’s lines very closely just as it should and I don’t see much room to stretch it to fit a now bulky dust-cover once a rail is attached. Those with tightly molded and stitched rigs will remember just what it took to break them in… now add a rail and try once more. That doesn’t mean you can’t just that I would be hard pressed to do so.
