I have the opportunity to get several freebie Kydex holsters.
What manufacturer should I select?  concealment paddle types, are they any good? do the tend to mark up or scratch gun finish because they are hard palstic?? Holsters I want are for :Kimber TLE , Beretta 92F, and Sig 232 Any reccomdations or comment would be welcome. Thanks  |

Get Blade-Tech. They make the best Kydex holsters, and they will make them for any weapon. Paddle types are OK, but I prefer the Tek-Lok Blade-Tech uses. It is more secure than a paddle and is just as easy to put on or remove as a paddle.

Dave Elderton of KyTac makes some nice holsters as well. He made my Braveheart holster for the SIG P239 I carried when I was doing executive protection. He's also as honest as the day is long. He also uses some pretty innovative features. When a flashlight holster I originally had broke due to repetitive stress (my fat gut pushing on it all the time), I went to his shop and we talked about it, worked out a design change, and he made me a new one while we shot the crap. Free of charge, even though I had the thing for a couple of years already.
HIGHLY recommended custom Kydex maker. www.kytac.com Edited to add: BTW: The SureFire 6Z holster is still going strong, even though I've had to send the light itself back for repairs. That was 8 years ago. |
