9MM USUALLY 5-7 bucks for 50 or 10-15 bucks for 100. standard ball. JHP are about 15 for 20.
.40 is usually 8-10 bucks for 50 and 16-18 bucks for 100. standard ball. JHP are about 15 for 20. |

I have been looking at bulk ammo for both as of late.
There is lots of inexpensive surplus ammo to shoot in the 9mm. There is none for the .40 Seems to me that there is alot more inexpensive 9mm than .40 out there over all. If you shoot alot 9mm may be the way to go. If not .40 has much more power. |
