Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Federal 45 +P+

Awhile back i saw some Federal 45ACP 230gr +P+, it was FMJ flat point I think. Anybody by chance have some or heard about how it performs? I can't find it for sale anymore, but it'd be nice to have some.

Have'nt seen any Federal FMJ type in +P+, they do offer some loadings in the HST in +P+.  Have'nt tried any of it in .45.  I do use the Federal Tactical and HST +P+ in 9mm though, and both are an excellent defense/duty round.  Somewhat hard to come by unless your LE, but it is out there.

Never heard of +P+ .45. What kind of velocity do those put out?

Try buffalo bore .45super, it's basically a very heavy loaded .45acp round.  

230gr FMJ or JHP
Muzzle Velocity: 1100 fps
Muzzle Energy: 618 ft. lbs.
