This is a scan of my 29 Classic 29-5 after just 6 rounds of lead wc Lasercasts through it today.
Gun WAS clean to start with.
Has less than 1,000 rounds through it, half full house, half target loads.
Those shiny spots on the outside of the cylinder are lead.
I had hubby hold 2 paper plates on either side when I shot it today, looking for a splash pattern......it blew the plates in half at 6" away!
Out of time? Bad forcing cone? Any ideas on how to fix my Hand Cannon, Kurt? I love this gun.

Thats miserable! Never saw THAT in the Dirty Harry movie. Good luck gettin' the cannon healthy again, Hannah. With all that lead coming off are you getting any accuracy? That looks like molten lead rather that just shaving...is the bore leaded? I had to gas check my hot lead loads. How do jacketed work?

Thanks anothergene and Kurt for the replies.
Yeah, the lead looks pretty molten to me too.
Barrel seems ok, no lead buildup or anything.
Accuracy has been pretty bad lately. Jacketed rounds seem to work fine though. I had pretty much decided to just stop shooting lead through it, but it occured to me that something might be very wrong with the gun and I should check it out further.
I will have to try to find a squib rod matching the internal diameter of the barrel fairly close to check that, right?
Heck, maybe I will just drag it along to the BRC if I don't find a decent smith here between then and now, and let you look at this poor puppy, Kurt.
