I need an ambi safety installed on my Kimber Compact SS (Series II). Is this something I can attempt myself or should I turn it over to a gunsmith?

Not knowing your mechanical prowess, I would say, yes you could probably install it, but if there is any problems, would you know how to find and correct them? Some parts need fitting or could be found unsafe. Another thought...you could always put it back to the way it was, right?

Thanks, I got it done. It was actually quite easy. I used the Kimber ambi-safety. It's a little stiff but I fugure it just needs a little breakin.
