IIRC the 910 is simply the 915 with a 10rd. magazine. They are nice handguns...affordable and reliable...and will function fine with any legal 15rd. S&W 9mm magazines you may find in CA.
The standard 910 is a lightweight pistol. I have never seen a 910S. If the frame is stainless steel it will be pretty heavy
They are very reliable.
They are easy (but not quite as easy as some models) to strip and clean.
They are plenty accurate enough for defense or service work...they are NOT target pistols.
They use the standard decock/ safety system.
I am not a huge S&W auto fan, but IF the gun proved reliable for me with good ammo, yes, I would trust my life to one. (I must add that for many reasons I personally would prefer a different handgun, but the S&W is not a "bad" pistol)
