Fucker drove off. Never caught him. Based on the time of day, 3:30, I think it was a teenager coming from school. The car was a white 2 door coupe, like a Civic. He came over a hill in my lane. Had I followed the advice the riding schools tell students and had been riding in the center lane, I would be dead. I never ride in the middle of the lane, I ride to the right hand side. It saved my life. I tried to trail brake and avoid the fender, ran out of road and got in the debris on the side, then slid into a ditch. I had about 16,000 miles on mine, it was an '06. The shitty part was the wife and kids bought the final piece of chrome I wanted for it for my birthday, 3 weeks before. It pisses me off to this day...but I'm not crippled or dead, so I can't complain. |

Passing on some FYI.............
I was on the phone yesterday with S&W to find out the status of my "extra" mags they still owe me. I can hear the Rep. banging away on the key board, and then told me that they are still back ordered from manufacturer. Asked any idea when? and was told there were 2300 people/orders ahead of me. Said they had 100-200 in stock, and those were going to builds. |

I got mine yesterday..the baseplates are the older versions...with the clip in the edge of the baseplate, not the newer ones with the hole in the center.

Mine have the gray follower with the "9" and plates have a square hole. Is there are a pic somewhere showing the different generations? |

From what I understand the follow is the newest gen....as for the baseplates, I was in the understanding that they were the first gen plates, that were somewhat prone to cracking when dropped. S&W is sending me the current plates and lock plate when they get more in stock. |
