The inside of my made in Italy 92FS barrel has a brownish color when looking in from the muzzle end, is this normal? it almost looks like rust. The gun has had 800 rounds through it and has been cleaned with Breakfree CLP after each session. It is kept in a borestore pouch in a safe with dessicant, so I do not see how it could be rust. I am unable to get a good picture of it.

Any thoughts?

Copper residue from jacketed bullets.  It will turn green over time if not fired frequently enough to keep a fresh coat of copper exposed.

Don't use Breakfree as a cleaner, IMO. I use it only as a lube.

Try something like Gunzilla to get the crap out of your bore.
