I thought I read somewhere some other hi-cap Beretta mags fit the 9000S WITHOUT some kind of adapter.  Anyone know if this is true?

I don't think so. The 9000 mags are wider than standard 92/96 mags. You can stick one in and it'll lock up, but can easily wiggle loose from the catch. In the .40 version, there's little advantage to using 96 mags b/c you only get one extra round.

this is true....i dunno about the .40 but is with the 9mm....   check BUSA web page parts section. there is an adapter somewhere in there....also post on www.berettaforum.net    they will be sure ot help
