I am looking at a 96 conversion for a 92 F Beretta at CDNN.  It includes the complete barrel and slide assembly.  Has anyone converted a 92 to 96? Any info would be helpful.Tanks

Beretta at one time sold a two-slide one-frame set, so it can be done.

You might want to check on bereattaforums.net as this was discussed at some length in the past.  The concensus was the .40 conversion did not work that well on the 9mm.  From what some of the experts stated there is some difference between the 92 and 96 frames and the 92 frames tend to wear at an accelerated rate.  Also, the 9mm/40 cal convertable pistols were actully 96FS pistols with a 9mm slide and barrel assembly.   From what I have researched you get a better conversion using a 96 .40 to 9mm than a 92 9mm to .40.  I just bought a 96 for $350 to go with my 92FS and think your better off just buying a used 96.
