I'm sure that this has been addressed, but I want to lighten the pull on my DA for my 92FS and wonder how this is done and the best way/parts to do it. Thanks!

I put a lighter hammer spring in mine and it helped a bit. However I put an extra power recoil spring in at the same time.

Replace the stock hammer spring with a "D" model hammer spring. It makes the DA pull MUCH nicer, and is a 5 min job you can do on the kitchen table.

Personally, while I am a fair shade tree mechanic, I would NEVER attempt to "fix" a sear/hammer on one of my guns. This is why they have professional gunsmiths with liability insurance, IMO.

Thanks for the info guys - I think I'll go with just changing the hammer and maybe the spring. Hopefully that works! Any suggestions on where to buy the parts?

Changing the hammer will have a negligible effect on trigger pull. People put in the skeletonized hammer mostly for it to look cool. Changing the hammer SPRING will be what changes your trigger pull. You can order both from beretta directly. The hammer is an EliteII hammer, and the spring is the D model spring. |

Changing the hammer without polishing the "L" groove won't make big difference I guess. For the hammer spring try at www.gunsprings.com, they sell and inexpensive reduced power springs kit. Ciao |

+1 Paulo! I did my sear to a MIRROR FINISH with 600 then 800 grit sandpaper and finished with a felt dremel, and it makes the trigger smooth as glass!
