Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - W. German P226 with non matching frame and slide

I bought a W. German P226 off gunbroker, but the seller failed to mention that the frame and barrel serial#s dont match the slide#. Will this be a problem? The #on the frame and barrel is U563XXX while the slide# is U387XXX.

As long as everything is fitted and functions properly it wont be a problem. The new CPO sigs are non-matching for the most part. The numbers on the slide are being milled off.

If it doesn't bother you I wouldn't worry about it. Providing you didn't pay top dollar.

BTW your slide is 1989 vintage while your frame and barrel are much newer. Probably mid-late 90's or so.

I only paid $440 shipped for it and it had some tritium sights that I have never seen before. The rear is a horizontal bar and the front is a regular dot.
