Looking for some owner impressions / reviews of the P226R Tactical.  I am thinking of purchasing one.  I have only checked one local shop who quoted me $999.  Is this reasonable?  Mainly looking for impressions and reviews?

Thank in advance.

$999 !!!!!!!!!!!!!  YIKES!

Hell no that isn't reasonable!  For a state like California I can understand the $950 MSRP but are things that bad in NC?  The 226R Tactical is a rare bird so now that I think about it that's exactly why the price is so high.  So the real question you have to ask yourself is: "Do I supressor on the end?"

If you don't plan to put a can on the end, get a P226R or better yet a P226 Blackwater (when they arrive)

No question *ANY* P226 is a good 226.  After all it's the greatest 9mm ever invented.  :)

it makes a great .40 too

MSRP on the P226R Tactical was $1099 before SigArms changed it on their website to "TBD" here recently.  The cheapest you can find them on-line is $954 from Ordnance Outsellers.  However, if you buy on-line, once you pay for shipping and transfer fees the $999 price from your local dealer looks pretty competitive (depending on how high your sales tax is).

I agree that unless you want to suppress it, the Blackwater P226 is more attractive.  It includes 5x magazines, awesome custom grips, and the cocking serrations on the front of the slide.

I took delivery couple weeks ago bought from a Sig direct dealor in the Phoenix, AZ market. Paid 935.00 cash. Guns like corvettes generate an emotion about there look and feel. Bad A$$ look and feel. Great shooter. Less emotional then my High Power. Should have bought two. Don't settle. Cheater gone.

That's good to know!  Didn't intend to slight your business, but OO advertises lower prices than you do.  I'll be in touch when I get around to picking up a P220...
