After great contiplation I bought a sig 229 in .40 from cdnn. It was a police trade in.
Finish on the frame and slide were perfect. Barrel shows some wear on the out side from shooting, inside of the barrel looks great.
I haven't had a chance to go to the range yet but I am planning on going this week sometime. If this thing shoots anything close to how it feels I don't think i'll be shooting my other handguns much anymore. It's a great size for concealment, the action seems to be pretty smooth, great balance, it seems to have a long d/a trigger pull and almost no s/a trigger pull.(I like the trigger but it will take some getting used to)
I have a taurus pt92/9mm, makorav/.380, and a taurus 669 revolver/.357mag, and now the sig 229 in .40,,, I'm comfortable with all of them but the sig seems to fit my hand the best.
Unless this thing really shoots like crap(which I doubt based on a couple other sigs i've shot) I think it's safe to say I WILL be looking at some of the other sig offerings.
I'll keep you posted after I make it to the range this week.
