Go to Lowes or Home depot and look for stair / ladder tread tape...it is almost the same stuff (skateboard tape also if you happen to have access to it) except the tape itself is a bit thicker. You can buy it in various widths (I find the 1in. best) and can often cut whatever you want off of a roll. It used to be $.93 a foot at Lowes, but I have not bought any for a while now. (3M brand is best) Peel off the backing and it sticks pretty well. A sharp pair of sissors will enable you to make "custom" patterns for your Sig very cheaply. If you wish to remove it, just peel it off...no residue left to mess with.
