what are the white dots on top of the sights for???

47 people looked at this and no one knows what those white dots are for? or is the answer to the question to simple?  am i the only one that doent know?

nope, just wanted to know what the white dots on top of the sights of the sig p2340 were for.

I've asked the same question to range instructors, other officers, etc. and I havent got sensable answer yet.  Some one did mention that it was for lining up the gun when held and waist level.

sorry just got back on line.....
the answer i was told (makes scence to me)... they are plugs that fill the holes that allow air to escape when filling the chambers with the glow in the dark stuff (tridium sp??).

what do you think???

Makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint for getting the vials into the sight blade and then glueing them in.

Another fine BS answer from another gunstore wanker...I love it.

What they told me in Sigarms armorer class was that the holes are there for when the Tritium goes out. They pop the holes and replace the tritium. In case you all don't know Siglite Night Sights have a lifetime warranty so this is why they are there.
