Great gun, good buy!
Mags...I prefer only factory Sig or Meg-Gar SS 7 round magazines. I have several of each directly in front of me now and the only way I can tell them apart is by the dark base plates on the factory mags and, of course, the markings. Both brands feed and function flawlessly for me in both of my 220's. (Meg-Gar may, or may not, still make Sig factory mags, but for certain they once did.) |

After handling this gun most of today I don't even know if I wanna shoot my glock 31 anymore. The p220 just feels so much better (even with the stock grips).

Nice looking guns. The P220 is my favorite pistols and I prefer the factory plastic grips. As for the mags CDNN is good as well as here: http://www.copesdist.com/sigsauer.htm The ACTMAG is very good.

I picked up a new Novak 8 round mag for 19+tax today from my gun dealer. I wish he had more of them.

Act-Mags are nice...easy to load and appear to less rust prone that the original factory mags...not to mention the pricing. I removed the pebbled grips after finding some older style 220 checkered grips (new take offs). After a little judicious filing (not an exact drop in) and like them even better. Besides a more classic Sig look, the checkering seems to afford more traction and just feel less bulbous for some reason. More Act-Mags will come in due time, either from a gunshow or ask the dealer to order some more, now that you are confident they in fact work. (I only started out with one myself, just in case) Congratulations on a great gun at an awesome price! |
