I was looking for this the other day and could not find it on AR15.com, after finding it I thought other people might be interested.

A=0
B=1
C=2
D=3
E=4
F=5
G=6
H=7
J=8
K=9

If the date is KF than it would be made in 1995

Maybe this is common sense, I dont know.

you sure thats right?? mine would be AD = 03?? the gun was purchased in 1994

Too bad the 226R doesn't have the code anywhere, my dad's 226 navy did however

I have one that says JJ and one that says KE ...  The JJ I purchased in the early 90's ... did they make the 226 in 1988?   The KE is a spare slide I bought recently ....
