Does the Sig 228 and 229 use the same mag and does the 229 mag fit flush in a 228 or does it stick out of the bottom of the 228.

I think the same mags are used for both in the 9MM.
Also, the frames on the 228 and 229 are supposedly the same. It's the 226 15 round mags that hang out a little, of which I don't mind a bit. |

Yes, magazine well is cut differently to fit different shaped .40 mag. |

Well I got my Sig 228 yesterday and I was able to try some Sig 229 9mm mag's in it. The mag's fit flush and work perfictaily in the 228.
