I love my 225, but even with as small a frame as it has the trigger still feels awkward. Only with the pistol cocked does my trigger finger placement feel comfortable.

Would the shorter SIG trigger help? If so, how much do they cost, and is this a modification I can perform myself?

My buddie bought a SA XD9 and that pistol felt great in my hand. Ever since then I've been milling around the idea of selling my 225 and getting an XD9, but I just can't part with my German baby. Would the shorter trigger help?

Most SIG short triggers are $50 from SIGARMS.  They're easy to put in.  Also check out www.sigforum.com

They cost more, but you might want to give TJ's Custom Sig short triggers a look. Aside from being the short trigger, the design makes for a smoother double action pull.

I know some of his products are in Brownells, if you can't find him there you can go straight to his website.
