alright, i started a new thread on the handgun discussion section saying i want a new 9mm. but, the more i keep thinking about it , i just want a new glock. im a 1911 guy but just fell in love after shooting my new g19. i'm not sure which glock i want. i have carry guns and hd guns and range guns, i just want another glock for the hell of it. i can only get 1. g34... maybe. 21sf ... maybe. i'd like to stay 9mm or .45 but the g20 is really interesting me. problem is i live in a ban state and can only have 10 rounders. losing 5 rds each mag is alot. should i go for it anyway since i'd feel very comfortable with 10 rds of .45?
i guess its just the idea of losing 5 rds a mag that bugs me. should i stay with 9mm since i have plenty of g19 and g17 mags already or go for the 21sf since i have 3 1911s and shoot .45 already or just go for it and get the g20 and try something new?

I see what you're saying. Have you tried the M&P?  Very close feel to the 1911 so as to keep muscle memories down to a minimum.  The Glock has such a totally different grip that it feels like a 2x4 in my hand, not comfortable at all.

Try one and see.  I think you will see what I'm talking about.
I started with a M&P40 got a .357 barrel and a new set of springs and bingo, 2 guns in one. Then I got the M&P .45 with the thumb safety, feels like one of my 1911's just a tad thicker in the grip.  Try it and see for your self.  Besides M&P's are pretty!

How about a G30SF?  Ten rounds .45 AssCickingPower in a compact package.

I am a fan of the G26.....small and easy follow up shots.  Since you have 9mm and want a Glock it would keep costs low, give you another glock, and still have the NY 10 round deal.  Just my thought.....I love mine and if you practice with it the little guy will never leave you out to dry!

meh...unless you have wrists like a little a freakin girl go with the glock 20.
all that power will make up for missing 5 rounds.
stay away from the m&p type handguns,  if they can go through the torture test
that bigbore put his glock though (I HIGHLY DOUBT IT) then by all means
go for one of those.

i wasn't looking for an m&p. i don't know why it was suggested since i was saying "i want a new glock". i went to the fun store and held a 34 and a 21. the 34 felt great ofcourse since my 19 does and its the same width and i have really small hands. at first the 21 felt monstrous but when i had a 2 hand grip it felt quite comfy. i had a 30 once and it was comfy and they are the width so maybe the g20 is gonna be where i'm leaning. that g34 is damn tempting though and i have 12 preban mags to fit it.

I live in Hawaii that allows only 10 round pistol magazines like your state.  I don't feel out gunned with my Glock 19 or Glock 26.  If you want to make bigger holes, go with a Glock 30.

The G34 is a Fing hoot to shoot. My favorite handgun I own. Also, serves as my "bump in the night" gun.

+1 get the G20, it is one serious handgun and i love mine, tons and tons of power, i'll take 10rds of 10mm over 10rds of 45acp any day of the week

the 30sf sounds good and so does the 21sf. why not a g37 if i'm going .45 and am used to the 9mm/.40 sized frame and can only have 10rds? that is unless the 21sf is as comfy and i can find g21 prebanners. i looked on ammoman.com and prices for g.a.p. are the same as a.c.p.. what do you guys think of the gap now that ammo prices and availability are good?

If I could only own two handguns they would be a 19 and 34.

ok. 1 last time. i'm ordering my new glock in just a few days. i've narrowed it to g17 in OD , g21sf single side safety and glock rail or g30sf. what's your final opinions. if i get either of the .45's i have to buy mags but most of my guns are in that cal. if 9mm i already have the g19 and have plenty of g17 mags. i love both calibers and all 3 guns. one last set of opinions please-g17,g21sf, or g30sf?

Makes sense logistically to pick up the OD 17 as you already have mags. In my state 9mm is WAY cheaper than .45 meaning more fun at the range. Love my 17 and wouldn't give it up for anything. Had a minor hiccup brand new but it was my dumb ass 1911 oiling/ dunking it. Now my bedside with a GTL 10 attached. Nice high capacity with +2's and if you want heavy and slow projectiles 147gr works. Heck if it doesn't the first time then you have 19 more to follow up with. Also a big plus (for me) is that it's the true and original Glock that came out of Mr. Glocks brain. Old G17 mags weren't even marked 9mm because this was the only one that came out of the factory.

My O2.

Get the G30, you won't be disappointed. I've never owned a glock until I got the G30, and I love it.  Surprisingly, the G30 doesn't kick very much; it's very well made (as all other glocks are).
