whats the price of the gen2 you're looking at and the gen3?

Should be fine. Convertin' a 2-pin, 2nd Gen G23 is the No-Go. But converting to 9mm is just fine. The LWD barrel should drop right in, and work with no problems.

The LWD 40-9 bbl will work just fine - it does in mine. Don't forget the mags.........

Yeah there is no difference between generations, but you can't switch the 17 & 19 nor the 26 and 19 but you can put a 34 barrel in a 17 though.

The gen 2 (I'm pretty sure it's a gen two because it doesn;t have finger grooves) is about $375 A NIB Gen 3 seems to be about $475-$500 |

No such thing. Yes, as stated you can convert ANY G23 to 9mm. You just don't want to convert a 2nd gen G23 to .357SIG.
