I would have sworn that Glock had a mid frame 45 similar to the G23 only in .45acp.  I have a G27 that I love, and am looking to add another 45 to my collection, but the 21 is just too big of a grip.  So I may have to go back to the SA XD.  What ever I get it will either be another Glock, or try the XD45.

Any ideas folks?

Are you thinking about the Glock 30 or the slimline 36?

the G30 is around the size of the G23/19 but its got the same width as a G21--WIDE

the G36 is only a single stack .45acp, so this might be the one that you are talking about, but its glock's subcompact .45acp (G30 is thier compact version)

i like the simplicity of the glock better (less parts, more accessories for em), but the XDs point a lot better for me and the grip is more natuaral and fitting

how about a glock grip reduction?

Well the 30 and the 36 both seem like they are subcompacts.  Maybe not.  I think I may have to go find me a local gun shop, and look again.  Because the 30 and the 36 both need mag extensions for your pinky.  While the 23 is plenty big.  But it is the wrong caliber.

I have decent sized hands and the 30 does not need a mag extension. Now a springfield xd sub compact does IMO, but not the 30.
