I tried searching and went to a few Glock websites, and nada.  What is the difference between Gen I, II, III?

I have a brand new 21 and a 27 that is about eight years old.

Thanks for your help.

There are also some Gen 2.5's that have finger grooves, but lack the light rail.  Or the other way around.  Also newer Glocks have 3 pins in the frame, while older ones have 2 pins.  YMMV...

2.5 gen, finger grooves, no rail.

Only Pre '02(IIRC about the year) 9mm receiver(frames) are 2 pin, all other calibers have always been 3pin
