I've never handled a 21 (yet). But i have used and own a 22. Is the G21's grip thicker than the 22, or the 17?

Yes, it's a few millimeters wider (something like 30mm vs 33mm)

If you want a familiar grip/frame with the punch of a 45 check out the G37 in 45GAP. The frame is identical to the G17/22.

Quite bigger.  I got a GLOCK 20 and it's almost too big for my hands.

While the G21 frame is larger for me it is not that different or uncomfortable to shoot and I dont have gorilla hands either.

I have decent size hands and a 21 and 17 fit fine.  A Glock 20 is a hair too big.

Is the 21 the full sized .45?

If so, the thing is FRIGGIN HUGE!!!  I remember the first time I shot one.  It was a fellow students.

It's a handful, and that slide is as wide as a mobile home!  I like BIG ASS guns though.

.
Same frame as the G21, maybe all that 10mm makes it feel bigger.

In summery the G21/20 is .11 of an inch wider then the G17/22 (11 1hundreth of an inch)
if a inch were broken down into 100 = parts the G21/20 is 11 parts wider then the G17/22 not that big of a difference unless your hands are on the real small side.

actually, i fired an XD 45 acp over the weekend, it was pretty awesome, A LOT slimmer than the G21 which is a bit big IMO.  also holds 13 rnds like the G21.  its a pretty attractive option.

Those pics make a touch better then a 1/10th of an inch look huge! Go try one out first hand, IMHO. And if you in MN IM me, we can hit the range!

dude the g21 and g20 have the EXACT SAME frame. the 20 is heavier due to a heavier barrell and slide.
