What are the big differences?

I have a 34 and love it but wonder what I may be missing here...

I have a 34,17 & 19.

I want a 17L, 26 and an OD 19 (or possibly 17)

I'm not an owner of both, but from I gather, if you get the G34 over the G17L, you won't be missing anything at all..

He has a G34 . . . . . .

Really the main thing your missing by not having the 17L is 0.7th of an inch, compared to the 34.

I want a 17L specifically to shoot my 33rd mags out of  . . .

And it's very cool too.

What's so special about th 17L and a 33rd mag

The mag works just as well in a regulare 17.

I might be selling my Glock 26 with 6 mags: 5 x 10 rounders and 2 x 15 with full grip extentions.

Can do FTF in Michigan

I like the look, and it would be a good truck/home defense gun for my uses.  Also, I really like the

little bit of boost in velocity . . .. . . . . .

I just picked up a G17L 1st gen.  How rare are these in the US, and what upgrades would you reccomend? (grip. guide rod, etc..)  Thanks!

If it is truly a 1st gen G17L imported in '88, keep is stock it will be worth more in the long run.

Edit to note:
I need to re-do this pic to include the 2.5gen receiver.

My mistake.....she's a 2nd generation...  Should I upgrade the guide rod?  Sounds like the only real weakness on these glocks  Anyone know of a place to check the serial # for a manufacture date

What is the serial prefix? I can help you with the import date. Even a 2nd gen will hold its value. In my 9mm Glocks I use the stock weight spring with a captured Stainless Steel guide rod. Keep the factory one for a spare.
