No I guess there is not. But the G26 will be just a tiny bit more concealable as it is just a bit smaller. The G19 is a very good all around pistol, the G26 is more just for CCW. Oh, the front of the G26 is shaped to aid re-holstering.

It would depend on the type of carry also. IWB no difference, ankle holster, big difference.

G26 is significantly easier to conceal. I also find it more accurate, probably due to the compound recoil spring. It is, however a "subcompact", and so you don't have a full 3-finger grip. I see this as a significant disadvantage in high-stress situations, and it can make it harder to draw well. It also loses you 5 rds of mag capacity. All in all, I usually carry the G19.

The G26 can go in a pocket or an ankle rig. If you dont plan on carrying that way, the G19 conceals about the same everywhere else.

With a good holster, there is almost no difference in IWB carry. You loose shootability, velocity, and 5 rounds with the 26.

I've just shot a 26 before never carried one, but I do however carry a 19 every day IWB and it is perfectly fine there.

both are very concealable, but G26 is easier to conceal. why not get both, G19 as your main & G26 as your backup.

If you don't use the mag extenters on the sub compacts, then the print slightly less (based on me looking in the mirror and having my wife check out my get up with the same size pistols you mention), other than that, it does not really matter. Carry what you train with the most. Most poeple in society are in code white and will not notice the fraction of an inch difference in your shirt sticking out.

I have a 19 and a 26 and I find myself picking the 26 every time that I carry. I have a condition in which I have no ass to speak of so my 19 prints too bad with most of my clothes. That is with the same CTAC that I carry my 26 in and it really disapears. With a spare G19 magazine and my fox labs OC I feel secure.

With a G26, I (5’7”, 140 lbs) have less chance to “print” the grip than the G19. In fact, there are a few occasions that my family noticed that I was carry my G19, but none with G26. It all depends on how you carry and your body type.

I actually carry a Glock 21 and 30 concealed very easily. I wear a jacket.

I've never really understood why, when a company makes a gun for concealed carry, they shorten the barrel. To me, the things that make a handgun more noticable are the length of the grip and the thickness of the slide. A thinner, single stack Glock, with the length and height of a G19 would be ideal and would still have around 10 rounds

+1 Width and grip length are the biggest factors, at least for IWB carry. I had both a 26 and 19 at one time, sold the 26 because I didn't find I could hide it any better. I actually carry a Kahr most of the time, primarily due to width. |
