I really want one of these and am currently trying to work a trade on one.  Can anyone give me some reviews/opinions on these?

Thanks

I compete with the M34. I chose it over my M21 (.45 acp) to save some money on all the ammo I shoot every week. It's accurate and fun to shoot. Guess you can say that about all Glocks. The recoil seems very light. I use it strictly for practical/tactical type competitions. I think it's a little long for concealed carry, but that depends on the person. I use the shorter Glocks (M23, M30) for concealment.

I have both the G34 and 35.  Both are great guns and very accurate.  I carry the 35 for duty use only because my department requires the 40 cal.  Otherwise I would carry the 34.  Less recoil and faster follow up shots.  Shoot one and you'll want one.

Just got back from the range with my G34. Man that thing continues to Impress me! Got mine used a few weeks back and have put maybe 5 or 600 rds. thru her no Probs yet, and don't anticipate any. IMO get one you can't go wrong!!!!!!!!!h.gif

I bought mine about 6 months ago and have never look back.  You can't go wrong with a Glock 9mm.  The ammo is so cheap compared to .40 and 45 acp.  The 34 would be a good choice.

I had one briefly and swapped the slide out for a G17 slide. Just seems a little more versatile.

Bought one for USPSA production class...4,384 rounds downrange since April 2005 without a hiccup. The long slide provides a better sight picture. The extended slide release lever makes for quick reloads on mag changes from slide lock (empty). Switched the factory sights for a Dawson fiber optic front and Dawson adjustable rear from Custom Glock Racing and couldn't be happier. The only other mod I'm trying is an extended tungsten guide rod with 15# spring to provide a little more weight on the muzzle in an attempt to improve my follow-up second shots. Plus cheap 9mm ammo equals plenty more trigger time to work on your shooting.

Shot mine for the first time today, love it.  Still for some reason my 2 favorite shooters are my 21 and 27.

Wouldn't it be cool if Glock came out with a "G34" version in .45 ACP?

+1.  That would be great but I can see them coming up with a 45 GAP in that config first

OK, I didn't really think about this until just now, will a Glock 34 fit in my Galco and Fobus kydex holsters?  I am hoping that the front sight won't get caught on the bottom of the holster when drawn.  Damn, wish I would have thought about this before I decided to trade . . .

Same size as a 1911 so it carries and handles great. Other than that, no different than a G17. GOod stuff.

The G34 looks just like a G17 with the exception of the longer/different slide and barrel, as well as different small parts, but the receivers look the same.

I know.  I bought my 21 for less than that, but it looks cool?

It would be the way to go but I think they will look toward the GAP round if it goes to development.
