I've seen some go for nearly 1k for some models. And 450 for others? I have a 17 w/ gills but idk what to even ask for it. Which models are the rarest?

They are very sought after by people who like the RTF.

I sold a G19 RTF2 with the gills for $1k. Seriously. In like 2 days. I remember when they came out. No one wanted them. Just like the OD models.

I'd say they go like this in order or rarity from most rare to easier to find. G19, G17, G23 and finally G22. I see G22 gill guns all the time.

It's all personal and I personally don't like them. I had the chance to buy them back in 2010, the gills didn't do anything for me, even now. Someone out there will surely buy it.

I don't care about the gills but I love the frame, if anyone has a 19 RTF2 they don't like I'll happily swap them for a standard Gen3!

You can buy the LV RTF2 frame kit on GB for about $325. Just search RTF2 and you'll find it.

I hate the gills

People only want them now because they can't have them... When they were still in production they tanked hard, which is why they went back to traditional serations on the RTF2.

I do want a 9mm RTF2 fish gill, 17 or 19. I would pay a little extra for one, but not $1000. Like always, the .40 isn't as popular.

I saw an RTF2 Fish Gill G23 recently for sale Used for $475 at my LGS, and was thinking about getting it and putting a 9mm Conversion Barrel

in it to basically make it a quasi G19, but I moved a little too slow on the deal and someone else got it. Oh Well.......

I like the gilled Glock's a lot and am looking for a G17 or G19 but there's no way I'm paying $1000 for one. I've seen the prices of them come down since the release of the Vickers RTF2 Glock's. The FDE Vickers Glock's have been going for some crazy money too in the same range.

Same here..... I was at a gun show a few weeks ago and they had a G22 RTF2 fish gill for a split second I got super excited till I picked it up saw it was a 22 and the RTF texture was nearly worn down to feeling almost smooth. He wanted 850 for the thing I laughed out loud when I looked the price and set it back down. The guy said it was rare and he had it at a discount I gave him the you are retarded look and walked off.

I like the gilled RTF versions. However there were a herd of these on the police trade in market. I dont mind paying $450ish for a bnib specimen. Past that the next guy is welcome to step up.

Would I pay top dollar for 17/19 RTF? Not today with the Vickers versions every where and 17L's back on the market.

I had a lot of people telling me I was an idiot, way out of line, etc when I had an OD Glock 19 for sale for $750 after they first discontinued them. No way I would pay that much for one either, but since Glock no longer made them, some people saw that as a reason they had to own one. It ended up selling for my asking price, so just because it might not be worth it to you or even myself, it doesn't mean it isn't to somebody else. YMMV

I had a Glock 23 RTF2 with the gills as a duty gun until I moved from North Carolina to Missouri and (obviously) changed jobs. I really liked the pistol (for a .40), but the gills were just a gimmick. The regular slide serrations work much better than the gills and are not (IMO) ugly like the gills are.

The RTF2 is my favorite frame texture though, I really need to see about picking up a couple of the Vickers guns. I do miss old PET 563 though, gills and all.
