I picked up a G20 recently to carry on my land. Coyote gun while hunting. I have a coyote problem killing two this past month. I'm looking to put a light on the G20 and for my G40 when I go hog hunting. I have a X300 on my Colt Railgun which is a nice light but I want to leave it on the railgun. I thought the Inforce apl looked nice but will it be bright enough for a field gun? Any thoughts? Pix most definitely welcome

I've have both a SureFire X300U-B and a Streamlight TLR-1 HL that is 800 lumen.  Both are very bright but the Streamlight is a little shorter and slightly more compact.

I have the TRL-1 and it is a great light and I also have a XC1 I have on my carry pistol.

My APLs have been good lights for CCW thanks to their small size, but I would not recommend it for what you want to do.  I'd want something brighter like a TLR-1 HL or X300U.  Also since the APL has only 1 battery and an electronic switch (meaning the circuit is always charged vs. a mechanical switch like Surefires and Streamlights) that battery does not last nearly as long even if you aren't using the light.

I've never had an issue with any of my Streamlights, and for the money I would probably buy a TLR-1 HL over the X300U.

For your purpose, I'd go TLR-1 HL or a X300U.  Both are great lights.

I'm preferential to Streamlight because of the spacers they use, in addition to reliability and AWESOME customer service.

I looked at the 800 lumen Steamlight on my way home. Curious though if that will be too bright in the woods.

Spacers??

I just hate that silver ring on the bezel.

Came here to vote for TLR-1 variants.  It's all I use (8 or 9 of them O/H).

I love the TLR-1 HL at $105. I'll be buying a few more this year.

If you are on a budget grab the TLR-1, if not get the latest version of the Surefire X300.

TLR or the Glock light. I have the Glock light and have no problems.

Surefire X300U (A or B).

TLR-1 HL is the best bang for your buck, and the remote switches for Glock are only $40 on Amazon

This is coming from a X300U-A owner.  The only real advantage to the surefire is it has a better beam, I like the activation of the TLR series much better.

I've always preferred the Surefire line owning a handful of their lights but for this one I'm going to try the TLR-1 HL. Thanks all for your input

Was on sale at Midway last year around cyber Monday with free shipping. Primary arms has them for less than $120 though if the $15 doesn't mean much to you.
