A friend inquired about the differences in ballistics (hope I'm using the word correctly here, too lazy to consult dictionary.com) of compensated and non-compensated models.
He is looking at a G23C, but is unsure how much of the velocity will be lost on the compensated model. Certainly something will be lost, and I assume it would be significant, but how significant is it?
Does anyone have links of trials done comparing velocity/muzzle energy of the two models? I would be interested to see the numbers for any caliber Glock.
Side question: He mentioned hearing something regarding wear in compensated models, and that "eventually the compensation wears through". Sounds like he's been reading bad posts, but as I'm not the omnipotent being I'd like to be, help me chew on that one as well.
Thanks!
Ed
