all i know is that i have never had any problems from my 17, I feel that either a 26 or 19 would be a better ccw IMHO

What does the Glock have to do with a PPX M, which is a Walther?

There is no safety issue with either one; however, you do need to know how to handle a weapon IE don't touch the trigger until you are ready to fire. On the G17 you can install a heavier trigger if it makes you feel better.

keep your gun loaded in a secure holster and everything will be fine. that's all you need to know along with the 4 gun rules.

Keep your booger hook off the bang button. Re-holstering with your finger on the trigger=sore foot!
Follow the four rules, take a beginner training course from a pro. Best money you'll spend. |

If you buy to large a pistol you will never carry it, if you carry on the Waiste the length of the butt and the thickness are the most difficult part to conceal. A friend of mine recently got his CHL and started trying to carry a Glock 19. He was really surprised by the bulk and how he was continually hitting things with his holstered Glock. He has since bought a Glock 42 and finds pocket carry works best for him. A Glock 42 or other small gun on your person is better than a larger gun you'll never carry. My friend still carries his Glock 19 depending on what he is doing but in the hot summer months the smaller pistols are easier to conceal. In very cold climates where you dress in layers a small gun in a coat pocket can be much quicker into action than a gun buried on your waiste. You have to adjust your attire according to your carry pistol/revolver.
I suggest you try what works for other people your friends with and see if they'll let you try their system. |

Here is the biggest safety issue .... keep it off the trigger till you are ready to fire.

I got mk25, but I just think about that I need another gun in car, maybe 10-20% time I will carry G17 OR PPX, but I need to know about them

man, I know safety 4 rules, but I also saw a lot news from tv and newpaper about G17 discharge. That's I'm worried.
Especially When I in the restroom. LOL |

LOL I've heard of a accidental discharge when some idiot hung his firearm from a coat hook through the trigger guard. I have no idea what kind of firearm it was but that's just plain dumb. |

Here's a little tip that I think make people more comfortable about carrying a Glock with a round chambered.
Take your Glock w/o the mag, rack the slide to cock the striker, now put the loaded mag in (for correct carry weight) and now carry it around the house in whatever form of carry you plan on using. Move around, sit down just as normal, practice drawing and re-holstering. If the trigger doesn't accidentally get pulled during all this...then you should be fine and your mind more at ease. IMHO & YMMV |

I would also not leave it loose in a glovebox, gym bag, purse, etc. without some type of hard holster around it.
Also, be cautious when reholstering. If you are truly, truly worried, purchase a revolver, a "double action only" (DAO) with a longer trigger arc, or a pistol with a safety. |

I have P226 MK25, I just want get another gun put in car when I don't carry mk25, but also I'm consider carry backup gun in few times.

That's small for my hand, G17 and PPX both good, they are just back up gun, So....
