So,

I have a Gen 4 26, 19, and FDE 34...  I am ready to get my hands on another one, but I need some help deciding if I should go for the 17 or 21?  My local dealer has both in Gen 4 OD...

I have a ton of 9mm and shoot it a lot, but I feel like I am missing out not having a .45

SOOO what would you all do?

I have a G17, G19, G21, and G27. My favorite by far and away is the G21. I have had it for 10+ years and have never tired of it.

You will love a G21 or G21SF.

Points well and shoots great for me.

45 is a ton of fun to shoot, a very effective HD round and great if you ever plan on getting a suppressor because of its lower velocity. I sold my Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 to buy a G21 Gen4 last year, and never looked back. You have nearly double the capacity and fully loaded the G21 weighs a few onces less then an empty steel frame 1911. I have absolutely love it and have zero problems thus far. I have taken it to Handgun Vitals I with Paratus Academy and will soon be taking it to MAG 40 with Masssad Ayoob.

Glock 21 SF is my first choice in pistols and I have a safe full. 1911's included.

I went 19,34,17 (sold because if not using it), 21, 26, and now issued a 17.

I'd vote for the 21sf/gen4 at your stage. I think you'd find that if your at the range you'll use the 34, and if you're carrying, it'll be the 26 or 19.

21s are soft shooting, super accurate, and an absolute blast to shoot.

Another vote for the 21SF.

With all of those 9mm's I would buy the 45.  Especially the gen4 21 which is incredibly soft shooting and accurate.

Go old-school and find a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Glock in a caliber of your choosing....

G21gen4 or a G20gen4 would make an awesome addition to your Glock family, doubt you would regret either.  Both are Glocks to start with, shoot excellent rounds, and are brutally accurate.  If I could only have one firearm, the G21/20's would be at the tops of the list (along with a couple of other Glock models)!

Not a bad thing to have a firearm that shoot a different caliber.  Recent events have shown that it can't hurt to have something else besides 9mm handguns!

I'd go with the 21 or 30.  Looks like you're good on 9mm's, time to branch out a bit!

I'm also contemplating a 21, but I'm thinking the RTF SF with the NiBX slide will be the ticket.

Get a 21.

I just ordered a G21 Gen 4 on Gun Broker for the exact same reason you mentioned.  I really want a .45 ACP!

My Gen 2 G17 was the first handgun I purchased when I turned 21 (in 1989).  I love it!

I also purchased a M&P Shield in 9mm, just because I had so much ammo already, if I could do it all over again, I would have chosen the .40 cal over the 9mm.

Well I called my local toy store... They have 3 in OD and 3 in black...  I placed a hold on an OD one, so Wednseday I should be a proud owner of a 21!  I'm stoked!

I'd buy a Glock 20 and be happy with my two extra rounds over the 21.

My user name might have been an indication of how I'd feel on this matter
