I dunno... I kinda got mixed feelings about them, depending on the model. On my G19 I like them. On a G17, or G21 not so much so.

I don't like em and I am glad my Glock was bought just before the change. I got houges on it and I love it baby.

I put a hogue slip over on my G22. It still gave me the groves, but it smoothed them out a bit.

When I bought a G17 second gen, I never realized how heavenly the fingergrooves missing could be. However I didn't mind them on my G21. I guess for me it's six of one, half dozen of the other.

The problem is that the engineers at Glock measured the grip, divided it by three and put a projection there to go between your fingers. This may work for a cartoon character but it is not very ergonomic for most humans. I will say that the grooves fit my fat fingers pretty well but many people have problems with them. I have put a piece of bicycle inner tube around the grip and it works well for me. The Hogue grips are fine but they add bulk to the grip. The inner tube adds very little bulk and gives a good gripping surface. I hope this helps.

all the 1st/2nd gen glocks pointed perfectly for me except the g19/23. pointed off to the left, and it's not like i can change the mainspring housing to correct it. with the grooves, the g19/23 now points straight ahead. go figure.

Personally i like the new grips. If you want a Gen 3 glock have a company like Robar do a grip job on it. they can remove the grooves professionally.

I like the new grips. Had the hogue gripe on a 2nd generation G-22 for awhile until it started to turn on me while drawing from the holster. The finger groves ended up on the side of the grip while on a qualification course. Couldn't have that happening so I removed it. Glad Glock came out with the finger groove grips.

Use a Dremel with the coarse sanding drum. I've done two that way & it makes ALL the difference in the world. I hate those damn finger grooves! If you take your time, the completed job will look completely professional. Mine look like they have factory texturing between the factory checkering blocks.
