Iam debating on buying a RTF2 with or without the gills. Are they harder to grasp than original cocking serrations?

Which model are you looking at?  I believe that on the RTF2 model if you want a 19, 23, or 21SF then you get the straight serrations. If you want a 17 or 22 then you get the fish gills.

I peronally like the fish gills with the RTF2, however I think that most here will disagree with me on that.

I would go with the regular serrations as I believe they are more grippy.

Crescent slide serrations have been discontinued for about a year now. Any RTF2 model found with them currently will be old new stock.

The crescent serations in my opinion are much more "grippy" they really seem to bite into your fingers better. I think the whole package of the rtf2 guns is great for an environment where your hands are sweaty or wet.  Some people don't like the asthetics of them but I like them better than the straight ones.

I like them and they're no longer offered to civis so I bought an RTF2 G17 like a month ago.  I think they're unique in an otherwise bland gun.

Gills are better for me.  I wish I could have gotten my gen 4 with gills, but I can live with the regular ones.

this... and although i don't believe the crescent slide serrations are any better than the standard vertical serrations... i would buy one just because it's different... purely a cosmetic thing.

As far as the RTF2, I have seen both fish gill and straight serrations on the 19 and 23.  I have only seen the fish gills on the 17 and 22.  And I have only seen the straight serrations on the 21SF..

Edit: If someone has the 17 or 22 with straight serrations from the factory (not switching slides around) I would love to see it, thanks

I bought a G22 with gills , then a few weeks later my uncle and his friend picked up G22s from the same shop. I know my uncles G22 does not have gills. I only noticed when I took both of our slides to put night sights on. I'll try to get a pic of our guns next time

ETA: I just pulled out my rtf2s (17,19,22,23) only my 19 has straight serrations.

The "gills" have beend discontinued from the RTF2 Glocks.
Since early-Q3 2010, all new production RTF2 Glocks come with the standard slide serrations.
