I bought the +2 pierce extension for my G23.  However when I replace the bottom floor plate assembly with the new Pierce one and do a function check it fails to lock the slide to the rear on a empty mag.  Do I need a stiffer or longer spring?

Yes, I believe so.

I put Wolff extra powder springs in mine... they work fine. I run a G27.

You shouldn't.  I ran a G23 mag with that extension for a bit (w/ stock spring), to test it, and it always locked the slide back.  I didn't like it because it tended to "bow" downward when the mag was fully loaded.  As it if was going to pop off.  And it DID in fact pop off in a drop test.

The factory Glock +2's are much sturdier.
