Took my brand new Gen4 G19 to the range yesterday and with factory lube no cleaning done just slapped in a mag of PMC FMJs and it ate it up with out a problem. 50 rounds of PMC, 50 rounds of UMC, 10 rounds of  Winchester Ranger Talons JHP just to make sure they feed. All fired and performed perfectly. VERY happy with my new Glock

I did exactly the same.  100 rds Winchester without any issues.  Glock got this Gen 4 right IMO.  Grip size without any added backstrap is a perfect fit.  I like the RTF type texture.  The mag release is a significant improvement.  Now to upgrade the sights.

I've shot a couple hundred rounds of Blazer Brass through mine without any issues, really liking it.

Went to the range on Monday and I was shooting better with the 19Gen4 than with my 17L.

im starting to hate my glock 17 4th gen..

1st 800 rds no problems..no lube most of the time
next 1200 rds..ive had almost 10 malfunctions..mostly failure to feed.
I know its due to the recoil spring.  when i get the green light from house hold 6 im trading it in for a RTF2

anyways congrats OP.  shoot it alittle more and let us know how she does.  best of luck..oh and by no means am i a glock hater.  I still glocks.  My glock 23 runs fine.  I guess i just got a lemon

Bought one yesterday, my first Glock.  I'm not sure if mine is Gen 4 or not...
Take a look and let me know, serial number is PPT 8XX, the envelope with the cases in it is dated 5/10/10.

Its Gen3. Look at the poster above you and his picture. The grips are different and the slide says "Gen 4" on it. I recently picked up a Gen 3 19 myself since preferring it over the Gen 4 for a few reasons.I can't wait to actually have it in my hands again...damn waiting periods.

Thanks for the report. I have been debating getting another Gen 3 or the Gen 4.

I am in need of another G19 due to my mother taking her CHL class and basically stealing my current carry gun from me (Gen3 G19), haha.

I picked the same holster.  This is a very good CCW combo.

Somewhere between $500 and $550 seems about right.

I stripped it down saturday and really gave it a good scrubbing got rid of all the factory lube replaced it with some hopes gun oil. Now the slide is super smooth and feels even better can't wait to go shoot again.

Gen 3 and just as great as the Gen4. I prefer the Gen 3 myself. Best of luck with yours and same to the OP. Glocks are outstanding pistols whichever favor you like.

I fired my Glock 19 just a few weeks ago put 200 rds through it fired like a charm loved it. Hit its target at 50 yards without any problems. Took my Glock 17 to range same time both preformed beautifully. Though they are both Gen 3 never handled Gen 4,but if it is Glock I am sure it preformed beautifully. Glock makes a gun you can trust to preform that is for sure.
