It is legal to CCW in the car here in NM, so I'm taking a trip and want to have good access to my handgun, theres a nice space under the car seat, now I just need to findout who makes a box or something that can maybe mounted under the seat/ into the floor . I'm thinking like a quick lock with punch keys (to keep "wandering hands" out) and get to the gun during the time of need.

Is there such thing exist? or should I be marketing one?? :)

there's really no such thing as a quick access lockbox.  If you need the gun you're gonna want it right next to your hand ready to go.  Lock it in the safe before you get out and take it out after you get in i suppose would be your best bet.

Unfortunately most people are attacked getting out or into their cars.

law kinda sucks in that regard.

The only time I use my car safe is when I can not be carrying (i.e. federal, state, city buildings and public schools).

Otherwise, I have had velcro sewn onto a couple nylon holsters and then stuck velcro on the underside of the dash just below the ignition switch.  It is almost undectable from outside the vehicle, secure from tumbling around the cab, and is a very quick draw.

Cheap solution that works for me.

Brinks makes a lockbox with a digital keypad lock on it.  (also a backup key to unlcok if the batteries die)

I use one of those, not good for under the seat but I keep one in the bedroom and one in my office, so I can secure firearms from the kids if I'm leaving the room.

Takes about a second to punch to code and open the box.
