I live in VA, and I just wear a very thin wifebeater tshirt under a very loose Hawaiian shirt, with a full-size 1911 in a Milt Sparks Summer Comfort IWB. The print and material breaks up the outline of the pistol very well.

In Texas I just wear my P220R in a Fobus paddle holster and cover it with my T shirt.
If it is UNGODLY hot, I'll throw it in my Bianchi fanny pack. ETA: hmmm... RIF!!! Ok, with a Glock, I wouldn't worry about the fanny pack because you don't have the sweat concerns I have with my Sig (the Glock won't rust). Pancake, paddle, or belt slide holster and your G2G

believe it or not, but a white 100% cotton undershirt really helps keep you cooler. I always wear an undershirt and either an untucked (oversize) t-shirt or short sleeved button down. Darker colors/prints/patterns help break up any outlines too. I used this carry technique in Phoenix for 9 years. If it works in 118 degrees/75% humidity during monsoon season, it should work in NC.

I live in Southwest Florida and I couldn't agree with Colt more. I do the same exact thing and carry underneath my left arm. |

light T, sometimes just that worn loose & mexican carry.....one things for sure, you can forget any heavy leather. String holster might help, depending the piece...

No humdity here but I get away with carrying my G30 under a t-shirt and over a wife-beater. It disappears with the 9rd magazine. Otherwise I wear button down camp shirts.

Uncle Milty and his VMII with silk shirts, or a really oversized polo shirt. Heat don't bother me. It's the cold that does..

If you are trying to get by with something like a tail-out polo or t-shirt, I can say...in general... that "rough" weave fabrics tend to print less than smoother ones, dark colors less than lighter ones, and that larger prints or stripes, etc. tend to "hide" the outline better than small ones. Still, the two-shirt method is probably better if you can pull it off.

I live in Arizona and carry my G23 OWB under an un-tucked Hawaiian-style shirt. It’s very comfortable, year-round carry that way. No, I don't worry about printing, but it is rare, as my shirts are darker and well patterned. Plus they have a fairly high thread count -- something that I have found to be invaluable in averting printing. A thin over-shirt also gives you an extra layer of "heat shield" too.

Here is the news.a S@W airweight 38. cal is light and small.if your in a hight humidity area it is aluminum and stainless. light and powerfull. wear it all your life, not flashy but will save your life and your budget.

I have a Centennial Airweight if I just CAN'T carry anything bigger...but IWB carry with a Blade-Tech 1911 holster works just dandy with a full size 1911.

I don't usuall carry my Glock 23 but I do carry a Kimber Ultra-Carry in an AmBi nylon IWB @ 05 oclock just above my wallet pocket with a Galco double mag pouch at 07 oclock on a belt while wearing blue jeans, t-shirt and a lite button down (un-buttoned) cover shirt, usually denim short sleave or long sleave with the sleaves rolled up.
When I am not carring that I carry a S&W Model 37 Airweight in an AmBi nylon IWB with shorts and an untucked oversized t-shirt. |

Today in KY, it is 100 degrees with 85% humidity. I wear a wife beater between my gun and my skin and a thin polo or loose fitting button up shirt to conceal the weapon, knife, and spare mag. The gun is a GLOCK 19 in a Threat Solutions UCR.

Wife beater, iwb holser, dress shirt type shirt over that, untucked. Sometimes unbuttoned as well, though thats not entirely necessary. I pack a P228.
