I'm just double checking on something here.

I purchased one of the AKMS kits from Akron (Beautiful BTW) and was wondering if these meet the 16" barrel length requirement.  I measured from the muzzle end down to the end of the chamber area where the bolt face meets up and it looks to be right at 16".  (I found a thread explaining that's how to measure barrel length)

Does that sound right or did I do it wrong?  I'm just double checking that I don't need a permanent brake installed.

Thanks!

I guarantee you it's 16" or longer.

Don't worry about it.

While I won't be as brave as fadedsun... you should be fine!

The way yo measure the barrel lenth is to slide a cleaning rod down the muzzle of the gun (without any comp) with the bolt closed.  Measure the length of the rod that fits inside of the barrel, chamber, and even bolt face...

It should be over 16...
