Well, it's a mystery to me anyway.

I'm on dial-up so having "tried" to open Stottman's thread I decided to just ask here. I received this sling in with some Bulgy '74 kits I bought from ORF and I've never seen one like it. The canvas is squared on the ends and kinda short overall, the leather is thick and sewn well, no markings anywhere............anyone know what it is??

Yeah, it's built kinda like a PPSh sling I have but I'll bet it's twice the width (the green canvas part) and the leather tabs and sewing is like twice as thick and tough. Very sturdy.

Any other thoughts out there????

Looks like a sling for either the SVT-40 or DP-28 LMG......although, maybe not, if it is as short as it appears....possibly a variant PPSh sling, maybe Hungarian?
