I have a chance to buy either a AR Galil or a Valmet 76 in 7.62x39. Which one is the better property?
They both cost about the same.

I'd go for the Valmet. With ORF makeing Galil receiver, and the pending sunset of the Ban. In Sept. you could have a Galil built for half the cost, if not less..  On the other hand, there is no Valmet parts kit or receiver, and probably never will be..

Now Id take the exact opposite view.  Mags are much easier to find for Galils as are parts.
