I see a lot of .223 galil build and resources around, but what about the .308, whats the differance in building a .308 galil, barrel and bolt?

There are some significant differences between a 5.56mm reciever and the 7.62 reciever.  The main ones being a much larger magazine well, and a smaller trigger guard/magazine release assembly that is moved back further to allow room for the magazine.  Usually, the only recievers and kits you find are 5.56mm.  The kits are surplus Israeli mostly, and the recievers are either IMI or Hesse.  Israel issued the 5.56mm, with only a few 7.62 sniper models being used on rare occassions.  Mainly the 7.62 models were export contracts to South American countries like Columbia.  Therefore, they are a lot rarer.
