Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Original Yugo finish?

I am looking to have some Yugo kits built into rifles and want them refinished as the original Yugos were done.  Does anyone have an idea of what type of finish (bluing, etc...) comes closest to the original Yugo finish and who could do the refinishing for me?  Thanks.

It's a standard blued finish.  Check the tacked threads at the top for pictures of original Yugo imports.

What kind of blueing was used?  Brownells has cold, hot dip, nitrate, etc..  Which one of those would be closest to the original?

They were hotblued, just like a Remington 700 or any other mass produced blued firearm.

Some people have had good luck with cold blue, but I haven't.
