Are you doing the welding yourself?  I want to do a weld repair, but my welding skills are great for a buggy or a shelf . . . not so sure about a firearm.  I'm waiting on a wise lite kit, too, but who would y'all suggest I have do the work?  Price?  Timeline?

It's here and I LIKE IT! A very nice piece to work with and will make for a nice, stout receiver when it's all said and done.

I have no TIG or MIG welding experience. I can stick weld with an arc welder, but I've been told that it would be better to TIG weld it. I have a friend here who is a gunsmith (Guncrank1 is his username here) and he is going to do the welding for me and show me how it's done correctly. He is going to do it for what I consider to be pretty reasonable money and let me learn in the process.

I don't think you can beat that deal with a big stick, personally.

Guncrank1 being local & a friend, and 10-12 weeks on the waiting list are the only reasons I don't send it all to Turbothis and let him do it. I've seen examples of his work and it's first rate stuff.
