Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - High Cap SKS Mags???

I was told that the high cap SKS mags will damage the gun. is this true?

No, I have used hi cap sks mags in 5 different ones, 3 china 1 romanian and 1 russian and never had one problem or failure, but be careful, the internet is full of these 'old timers' that take personal offence to adding a high cap magazine to an sks, they think its worse than blowing up civilians in iraq and they will stop at NOTHING to talk trash, so have fun!

I think that some people have to remove some of the wood around the magwell to get a detachable mag to fit right.

Some claim they didn't have to remove anything and they fit fine. YMMV
