I have a new and unissused Yogo SKS. Brand new. Brand new and packed in Cosmo or equilvalent. I want to disassemble the rifle, clean the goop off etc before firing it. No problem on disassembly etc. I've had tons of experience there with lots of guns...but I cannot seem to get the stock off the rest of the rifle. The 'through bolt' in the stock refuses to budge and I've put some serious leverage trying to unscrew it. I'm afraid of busting something. So whats the secret?

I thought I'd knock the pin out of the metal fixture on the front of the forestock/stock and see if that helped, but wanted to seek advice before doing so. Any help appreciated.

So how do I get the stock separated from the barrel/action?

Thanks.
